Happy Fall to all
As we slide into the last quarter of the year I find that it just keeps moving faster.
The Piedmont Halloween Parade will be on October 24, 11-1. We’d love to see all those family costumes. And don’t forget those Puppers. Don’t forget that if you park on Piedmont your car will be trapped amongst the candy chaos for a short while.
As much as you can plan ahead for your haircuts for those holiday parties and family photos!

There was a price increase back in April, please check the menu when selecting your services.

AiLi’s CHAIR ~ PLEASE READ
IF you are a first time client please select “First Time Client” as this gives me ample time (but not always completely used) to give a thorough consultation and haircut.
I understand that my schedule is busy and I am doing my very best to see everyone. However skirting the system by choosing a shorter appointment just so you can be seen earlier is not giving the best first impression. I have seen an uptick in these maneuvers and I will start to cancel them and ask that you reschedule. If you want the product but disregard the process we’ll just have to wait till you can.

NO CALL/NO SHOW Policy
If we do not hear from you before the 10 minute grace period has passed you have ‘no called/no showed’ your appointment.
The full amount of the service missed is to be paid to be in good standing.
Square will email/text you 24 hours before your appointment, at this point (or before) you can move your appointment if you need to reschedule.
Within the 24 hour period you must reach out to your barber directly to move or cancel your appointment.
Texting the shop phone or Square is the fastest way for us to SEE the message. If we’re in the middle of a cut it’s not always possible for us to get to a phone call.

Appointment late policy
Parking can be a bear (especially on the weekends) and traffic is always stupid and shouldn’t exist but it does and sometimes it’ll ruin your day and make you late.

Services will not be able to be performed after 10 minutes past the scheduled appointment time.

Appointment cancellation and no show policy
Life happens and sometimes you just can’t make the appointment. Please cancel your appointment within 24 hours or as soon as possible to give enough time for another client to book the time slot. We ask that you email your barber or text the shop number if it’s within the 24 hour time frame so that you will not be considered a no call/no show.

No call/no show your appointment, you will be asked to pay for the service missed before a new appointment can be made.

What is the difference between a stylist and barber?
As recognized by the state of California the difference between the two is the ability to use a straight edge blade.

Why aren’t trims less expensive than a haircut?
If the barber/stylist is having to go around the whole head, the length of what is being taken off does not determine price.

Why do you face me away from the mirror?
The big mirror is a tool just like a pair of clippers and/or shears. Distance away from what the barber/stylist is working on helps with accuracy.

I skipped the shampoo/hot towel/drink,
The haircut only took 15/20/30 minutes… etc.
Why is the price of the service unchanged?
The price listed is the value of the service itself, your beverage, shampoo, and hot towel are complimentary.
Value is not determined by how long it took to perform the service, it’s in the skill it takes to accomplish the service.

Parking
There is both metered street parking as well as a metered parking lot on 41st and Piedmont (behind the CVS).
2 hr parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood but please be mindful of driveways!
Shhhhhhhhhhhh… Rumor has it that Piedmont Grocery has 1 hr parking available in their lot, buy an apple and pop on over.
